Today we’d like to introduce you to Ren Galera.
Hi Ren, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I kicked off my career at 19 years old on NBC The Voice Season 16 Team Kelly! I was lucky enough to make it to Top 24! This was the best experience I could have asked for in that time of my life. I needed a taste of my dream to help me realize it IS possible. I learned so much about myself as an artist during my time on The Voice and will forever be thankful for that experience.
Right after that, I hopped on Telemundo La Voz US Season 2 and made it to Top 24 on Team Wisin!
I met some incredible people along the way and truly that has been the greatest gift just to be surrounded by so many artists pursuing the same dream you are and we lean on each other to keep going!
I am now 22 years old with 3 singles out with Creatives Factory and I am working on my fourth now which will be releasing 04/24!
I am also pursuing a modeling and acting career along with my love for music.
It has been a wild 3 years and cannot wait to see what the future holds!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This has not at all been an easy road. I grew up in a very conservative household which has caused me to not only lose friendships but support from family which has been the hardest setback for me because I have always leaned on all of my family heavily. I am extremely thankful to have an incredibly supportive dad who pushes me to keep going and pushing! Love you, dad! <3
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am known as a Latin/pop artist based out of Dallas, TX however, I am tapping into modeling and acting this year pretty aggressively and I am super excited to see where that takes me. I am very proud of where I am at in my life considering I was homeschooled with basically no social life so putting myself out there has always been extremely terrifying to me however if you’re dreams do not scare you, they are not big enough! I think what sets me apart from others is I am not afraid to fail. I am not afraid of being told no. I am not afraid to put myself out there and risk looking like boo boo the fool. Why? Because I know this is my journey and I will take what is mine. If it’s not today, it will be soon and I will work and keep getting up until I get to where I need to be.
