Meet Vineeth Radhakrishnan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vineeth Radhakrishnan.

Hi Vineeth, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I started photography just as a hobby – captured landscapes to start with and later moved on to Bird Photography. I went out into the nature on every chance I had and it transformed it to a serious passion. I have been fortunate enough to travel all over Texas and a few other states in the USA and capture some unique shots of the wonderful avian friends that are around.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I wish I can say it is easy to photograph birds. But it is not – the main challenge is to find them and photograph them in the environment that is suitable and that can be presented into a good photograph. Since there are very few birds in the middle of the city where I live, the only option is to travel to outskirts and wooded areas. Since I have a full-time job, I get very less chances to go away and there is no guarantee that I get good photographs every time. However, I enjoy being out in the nature, I try to do it more often and showcase the beauty of this nature to my friends and followers through my photographs.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a photographer by passion. I mainly photograph birds, but I do enjoy capturing the night sky as well. Whenever I go away from the light-polluted areas, I try to photograph birds during the day and night sky during the night. I think that variety in my portfolio is what sets me apart.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Photography is a passion for me and not a profession. So, I do not get to invest as much time I want and travel more.
