Conversations with Alexandria Tribble

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandria Tribble.

Hi Alexandria, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
My love of travel began in 2016 when I moved from Dallas to New York. New York was my first time immersing myself in so many different cultures and befriending people from various backgrounds and upbringings in New York. I met my traveler friends in New York, and thanks to a wedding in Barcelona, I was off on my first international trip. I fell in love with travel right away, but even more so with the new friendships it brought me. I’ve visited seven countries in less than a year, and I’m still counting.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
One minor stumbling block was the pandemic. After only a year of having my passport, the borders were closed and no one was traveling.

TikTok, on the other hand, was a silver lining that I discovered.

As with many others, When I was bored, I turned to Tik Tok, but I quickly realized how useful this little app was. It sparked my imagination, and I thought, hmm, I could do this with my own spin.

As a self-professed bougie budgeting betty, I spent many hours planning/researching the best trip that didn’t break the bank. Knowing how draining or overwhelming that can be for some, I decided to share on TikTok. I wanted to share my experiences with others, specifically tips, tricks, itineraries, deals, and recommendations.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Outside of content creating, I’m also a digital strategist. As a strategist where I spend my time researching trends, culture, and societal relevanctis that my clients should be aware of. My day job often serves my night job well. And vice versa.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was always a curious kid seeking some sort of adventure. But, my interests as a child were divided into two categories: Disney and dance. My childhood was filled with all things Disney, which fueled my interest in movies, film, and television. Later in my life, I discovered a love for dance. Dance on my high school drill team provided me with the opportunity to travel outside of Texas for the first time in a long time to California for a national dance competition. Unknowing, I was sowing the seed of curiosity.

During college, I was accepted into the Disney College Program, where I had the opportunity to intern for Disney in Orlando, Florida. That internship was my first trip outside of Texas, and I had the opportunity to meet students from all over the world. Through Disney, I took a valuable marketing course on how Disney markets itself to as the premier vacation destination. Getting college credit free access to parks and drinking around the world in Epcot wasn’t a bad perk either.
