Meet Vicente & Mario Zarate of COMMONRAGS

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vicente & Mario Zarate. 

Hi Vicente & Mario, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
COMMONRAGS started in January of 2020 with a simple dream to supply curated vintage clothing to our friends and people who were looking for vintage clothing. A month after launching the idea to our friends the whole world entered on a shut down due to Covid-17. We never gave with our dream to start our own business so we decided to keep pushing forward. We transformed our apartment into a completely workspace. For the next months, we dedicated ourselves to release social media content consistently to our followers. People started engaging to our content being released every day. The idea behind commonrags is to delivered a high level of creativity. Throughout that same year, we started doing local pop-ups with coffee shops, etc. Now, we are a fully brand coming with new collections every month. We have a shop in de heart of Oak Cliff that operates in the weekends. 

The Future is Bright 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The hardest part was navigating the lockdowns during the pandemic, we had to create ways to reach to our people by releasing engaging content.

COMMONRAGS is a brand located in the heart of Oak Cliff. We have a studio/storefront that operates in the weekends. Whenever you come to our shop, you will find a good selection of curated vintage clothing and our most recent collection of commonrags. We are intentional with our customers by offering a one-on-one experience with they come to our shop. 

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matter most to me is able to communicate thru a shirt a specific message. We believe every shirt that we designed has a special substance and message.
