Inspiring Conversations with Savannah Breen of DFW Bartending

Today we’d like to introduce you to Savannah Breen. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Savannah and Charlie Breen founded DFW Bartending in 2012 to connect with people while bartending. Since then, the crew has grown to more than 50 bartenders across Dallas Fort-Worth and surrounding areas. Savannah has built a tight-knit group of bartenders to serve as far North as Van Alstyne, East towards Terrell, West to Mineral Wells, and as far South as Waco.

When private events began ramping up after the lockdown in 2020, many clients struggled to find caterers with the staff available for quickly increasing demands. The DFW Bartending team widened their scope to include food service, working with caterers to bring great food to guests. The pandemic had a severe impact on the events industry as a whole. In the same way, she supports her staff, Savannah believes in supporting other industry professionals.

DFW Bartending expanded again in 2021 to assist service at venues like Globe Life Park in Arlington, Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, and Amon G Carter Stadium for TCU Football, and Schollmaier Arena for TCU Basketball games.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
“Gig economy” has been part of recent conversations around the job market. However, a position that offers additional income with a flexible schedule has been desirable long before the term “gig economy” was popularized and led to quick growth at DFW Bartending.

In early days, friends and family joined Savannah and Charlie in helping out at events. The business quickly took off and started to outgrow its grassroots beginnings. With a growing staff, new challenges arose. Creating a community among more than 50 bartenders from all over the metroplex involved establishing connections, team goals, and individual recognition. By placing a priority on the bartenders, Savannah and Charlie know they’ll offer the best service.
