Conversations with Nathan Bennett

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathan Bennett.

Hi Nathan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
What got me started is when I found out I was going to have a baby girl shortly after I was released from county jail in 2014 after serving about 8 months& I realized my life was going to change and that the next chapter of my life wouldn’t be just about me; which will include for me to make wise and smarter decisions in life because it will affect my daughter. Without her, I don’t know where I would be at in life. So, with that being said I found vision in creating a business and or stream of income that I can then pass down to her so that she will never have a boss.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all, I’ve had many numerous obstacles in life I had to achieve. But without those struggles and pains, I wouldn’t appreciate what I have now.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I have my own clothing brand called Born 2 Grind & I design logos and create pieces such as hoodies t-shirts, sets, hats, women’s clothing as well. I’m most proud of the steps I have taken to separate myself from others and I also run a million-dollar shoe business such as shoe palace as a general manager so I’m real heavy into shoes, fashion, people person.

What do you think about luck?
It has played in my life in such good positive ways, putting me in the right location and space to meet thousands of people a week that come into my store and learn to build relationships with people who have the same mindset as myself. And luckily, I have placed myself around a good strong team who keeps me motivated, my friends consist of a photographer/ videographer/ another friend who is a rapper, another friend who has his own detailing car business.
