Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Holbert.
Hi Stephanie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I started the nonprofit Tilted Crownx Inc. because I was in a space where I felt lost. I would pray and beg God to help me. I would feel so empty like I had no purpose. Little did I know that everything I was going through would bring me purpose. It finally made sense. I’d always had a gift for encouraging/ministering to young girls and women even when I was down, it would in turn uplift me. I always wanted to give them the words I wish I had when I was younger. I want to be that listening ear, because most of the time in times of need we just want to be heard.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not smooth at all! Lol! I’ve been very discouraged and disappointed many times but because I know this is something that was given to me as a gift to give to others I cry and pray about it and try to stay encouraged. Even when things don’t look like I thought they would. My biggest struggles are getting out of my head and the curse of being a perfectionist. I want things to be right and in order before I move forward but unfortunately that’s not the way the world works because life will inevitably just…happen. But we have to roll with the punches and like our motto says “Adjust With Caution”.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am the Executive Director of a nonprofit organization named Tilted Crownx Inc. Where we are a “mentor-stry” that aids in encouraging young girls and women through Christ; Spiritually, Physically, and Emotionally.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
First and foremost, all glory and honor goes to God because without Him I would most definitely still be on my floor crying and lost lol, but so serious. Secondly, my parents and sister who have absolutely supported me 100% and been by side from the beginning. Thirdly, I would def say best and closest friends and significant other who have also been so supportive and encouraged me to keep going even when I wanted to give up. It’s so very important to have a solid support system. They may not see the full picture in the beginning but as long as they are understanding and have faith in you and the gift anything is possible.
