Hi Dottie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I’ve always been interested in having my own business, but I’ve never took the leap until I became interested in taxes. After taking the introduction class to learn the basics with Thomas Financial, I decided to build my knowledge and completed all of the courses offered. After that, I’ve stuck with this journey and have grown a passion for tax code and law.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Tax law can be a bit challenging to navigate and every client’s situation is truly unique. Every so often, I will have a client who has found themselves in a sticky situation. When that happens, I’m tasked with helping them get out of it the best way I can.

I am a financial professional who specializes in tax preparation and white-glove client service. The majority of my clients own and operate their own businesses. I make it my business, to understand their business, to ensure their tax liabilities remain as low as possible.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I believe that most people can learn and comprehend tax laws and codes, but in this business, how you treat and communicate with your clients is most important. Some clients don’t need as much communication, while others do, but I make sure to provide quality service to all.
