Hidden Gems: Meet Jordan walker of Plughub Network

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan walker.

Hi Jordan, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
2014 was the year that I graduated Mansfield Lake Ridge High School, wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. So, at random, I did what all my other friends did, and that was going to college. That was Texas Southern in Houston. It was cool, I became a party promoter and sold presale tickets for all the students on campus. I became the people plug for parties. After 1 semester I figured out school wasn’t for me, so dropped out & I went to my plan B… which was joining the ARMY.

After 6 long months of studying for my test, working out, and watching every military movie out there, I thought this was what I wanted to do. But they told me that I couldn’t join the army because they found out in high school, I played football and torn my rotator’s cuff in my shoulder just a few years back. So now I have no plan, no idea what I want to do in this world… so I got a job working 12 hours a day at a warehouse that my dad worked in at the time.

After being there for a few months, I felt like I hit a dead end. I wasn’t happy, and I prayed for a new opportunity that would change my life. One day I went on Instagram and what seems like Divine timing, a random account messaged me about “work from home opportunities” and told me about this company called Kyani. At the same time, my best friend at the time & my cousin also told me about this same company. So, I called my cousin so ask him more about the gig and we ended up meeting.

Fast forward, it was a blessing because a found an atmosphere that was completely different from what I’ve ever seen. I saw people my age (19) making money from home and having fun at the same time.

This memory triggered me almost 3 years later to create The Plughub Network.

I wanted a community for brands & start-up entrepreneurs to come together to share ideas, and collaborate together.

In a world where everyone is getting disconnected from each other… The Plughub Network bring people back together.

The Plughub Network plugs brands into new opportunities, our resources, automation services, and new connections to take their business and their passions to the next level. We host events every month to bring everyone together. This could be a dinner party, a bowling mixer, or a pop shop.

My motto has always been “Collaboration over Competition”, because I believed small entrepreneurs already had it harder, so comin together we can all win. Some people need our community because of a few reasons. They may not have the motivation to build their brand, they might need support since their friends & family don’t support them, sometimes they want to give and help others and sometimes to just be a part of something bigger than themselves.

Plughub first started off as a digital agency doing logos, websites, landing pages, and other digital services. But my heart was always bringing people together and building a community. Thats where our focus is today.

Our services outside events include Plughub + where you can join the club to get exclusive resources and invites to private events. We also build chatbots for brands to help automate their sales.

What we have today isn’t the end.

The goal is to create a hub is every major city the same way the chamber of commerce works in each city.

Why? Because there are entrepreneurs that need our support.

Our vision is to set you free & change 1 billion lives through our hubs.

Thank you plugz

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Yes, I have 4 kids and that alone made it more challenging to hit my goals when I originally wanted to, I had to learn how to balance family and business and personal time. I adopted my Wifes 2 kids and had 2 with her when Plughub Was thought of.

We moved around a lot and didn’t have stability and no support.

Was homeless with the kids for at least a year bouncing around
