Check Out Tiffany Myers’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Myers.

Hi Tiffany, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been a stay-at-home mom now for about 13 years. I always knew I wanted to be a stay-at-home mom but, I also wanted to help my family financially at the same time. I started and failed multiple business ventures over the years. Then in 2017, I decided I wanted to do YouTube. I initially started with a cooking channel (At Home with Tiffany). It was a lot of fun and I was able to get my feet wet, since I knew nothing about videography, editing…. nothing. I did that for a few months before I decided to start a natural hair channel (Naturally Tiffany). Initially, it was going to be about my own natural hair journey but, while I was styling my 4-year-old (at the time) daughter’s hair, I had the idea to film her hair journey as well. Although she had a beautiful head of hair, it was very short and even bald in some spots. I struggled finding information or other YouTube channels that helped moms with kids that had hair like my daughter’s. So, I decided to be that resource for others. The channel, kind of, blew up from there. From that point, the Naturally Tiffany Brand was born. We now have our own personal blog, a family-oriented Instagram page where we do fun dance reels, hair, parenting, and family content, as well as the YouTube channel.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely wasn’t a smooth road in the beginning. I was very new to social media. I didn’t really understand fully what I was getting myself into. My daughters and I were received well by most. However, I did get some really ugly comments in the beginning and I began to question if I really wanted to do this. I had to shift my focus on those who I was helping as opposed to the handful of mean people leaving me negative unhelpful comments. You really have to be confident in who you are as a person and what you’re doing to do anything on social media. Once I found my confidence, there was no stopping us!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a mom dedicated to helping other moms and families. I make content on kids’ hair, cooking and recipes, homeschool information, lifestyle, and however else I can be of service. The thing I’m most proud of is, I was able to find myself and my voice in this journey. I was so scared in the beginning. I was worried no one would watch my videos or subscribe to my channels and that held me back a lot. Once I gave myself permission to unapologetically be myself, doors began to open. I think what may set me apart from others is my willingness to put myself “out there.” “Out there” is a scary place. I believe fear is what’s holding some people back from their dreams.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Authenticity and humility. I try to always be myself and constantly remind myself that there’s always room to grow, learn and be better. When I say “better” I mean in all aspects of life; a better businesswoman, a better listener, mom, wife, content creator, etc. As my grandmother would say, I don’t ever want to get “too big for my britches.”
