Today we’d like to introduce you to Aisha Small.
Hi Aisha, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
During the pandemic, I was fortunate enough to still have employment, but outside was still closed. During that period there was a lot of time to think about what I wanted to do with my passion of design. One morning I was watching a news segment on 2 friends who started a popup picnic service and I thought it was genius. I started my research and I felt that I can do this. And long behold FancyPoppinPicnics was created.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a smooth road in a sense that I enjoy doing this. I enjoy shopping for items needed like pillows, decor items, and accessories and putting the products together. What’s challenging is getting my name and service out there, getting exposure is not easy.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I work in the financial lending business and I’ve been with my company for 17 years. I’ve worked in several departments and held several different positions. Those experiences and opportunities have led me to possess traits like Adaptability, Dependability, and Tenacity. Those traits are what I’m most proud of. I’ve had good experiences and I’ve also had not-so-good ones but nothing that has taken those traits which I am known for away from me.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I’ve learned to work at my pace and to take my time. I’m not in competition with anyone so I don’t feel pressure.
