Today we’d like to introduce you to Paul Michael.
Hi Paul, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey in photography and videography around the age of eight when my grandfather let me use his film camera and showed me a few of the basics. I then began playing with our family’s VHS camcorder and Super8. I started taking photos and videos of anything and everything, starting mostly with capturing videos of my performances in music and magic and then moving into school plays and recitals. I fell in love with cameras, photography, and videography from that moment on and continued to learn and hone my skills. Over the years I continued my journey in photography and videography and began doing paid gigs on the side and now 34 years later, I own and operate a professional photography/video production business and am blessed to be doing what I love for a living.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Fortunately, my journey in photography/videography has been a smooth one. I worked as a freelancer doing odd jobs here and there for many years, more as a hobby, and then about five years ago I decided to go all-in and actually start my business and go full time. When I started my business, I never dreamed that I would be as far along as I am this soon. I am very fortunate to have met some wonderful people and made some great connections early on to grow my business quickly. I’m sure there are some struggles that will come, but I feel very blessed to have had very little thus far.

Paul Michael Photography focuses on customer service and delivering a quality product. Our specialty is high-quality video, audio, and photography. We excel in customer satisfaction and going above and beyond to deliver the highest quality product possible. We offer professional photography for weddings, events, headshots, real estate, products, and much more and we offer video production, videography, cinematography, aerial photography/videography, and live-streaming services.
I believe what sets us apart from others is our willingness to work with a client on their budget and customize a package for their specific needs and budget and finding a way to get them the highest quality product even on a limited budget.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I feel that honesty and willingness to work hard for each and every client is most important to my success so far. It helps that the services I provide is something I love doing and would be doing in some capacity even if I wasn’t getting paid for it, but I strive to go above and beyond what is asked for and agreed upon to make sure the client is happy and that they get the best possible product.
We have had a lot of feedback from clients that reflect this and are always happy to hear that our clients see the effort and hard work that goes into each and every project.
Pricing:
- We do have some standard rates for video production and photography, but we usually always create custom packages for each client based on their needs and budget.
- Typical hourly rate for videography / video production is $120 / hour or $750 / day.
- For photography, our typical hour session with edited photos is $250.
