Conversations with Lindsay Rojas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsay Rojas.

Hi Lindsay, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Growing up, I was introduced to a camera at a young age. Whether it was taking photos or recording, my mother made sure always to capture the moments. Since then, I naturally gravitated toward being in front of the camera.

During the pandemic, I had time to focus on creating my content. I started posting more outfit-inspired photos on my Instagram and posting vlogs on my YouTube channel. During this period, I discovered my passion for the process of vlogging and video editing. As TikTok became popular, I was able to grow my following by creating outfit videos. I had brands start reaching out to me for modeling opportunities and even sending me PR packages to create content around. I enjoyed using my platform to highlight small local businesses to help them recover from the pandemic. One thing about me is I want to see everyone around me win. If there is any way I can support a local business, I am always up for it.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a smooth road for me. When I started my journey as a content creator, I struggled with putting myself out there for everyone on the internet to see. Living in a judgmental society caused me to have some self-doubt and question my abilities. I used to think about what others may say constantly. Ultimately, I couldn’t let that stop me from doing what makes me happy. I realized I couldn’t rely on others to make me feel good. If I did, it would allow others to dictate my worth. I was able to overcome this by finding validation from within. Even if you aren’t the most confident about where you’re at, it’s good to practice being accepting of your strengths and all that you have to offer.

Another area where I struggled was my consistency. Creating content for my YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram while maintaining a full-time job isn’t easy. It requires a lot of time, planning, commitment, and discipline. Once I found a process that worked best for myself, things worked out. I still have times when I struggle to be consistent, but implementing a routine has helped alleviate some of the struggles.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a fashion, beauty, and lifestyle content creator. I focus on creating content for my brand and collaborate with other brands to create content to showcase a product. I specialize more in fashion. I love creating outfit inspirations. I’m proud to say that any gender can come onto my page and grab streetwear style inspo. I love mixing feminine with masculine pieces because who said women couldn’t wear men’s clothing or vice versa :).

I also enjoy doing my nails and creating nail inspiration. I love to coordinate my nail set with my outfits. I always said that nail colors could change your look. Nails are an accessory and can make a whole outfit come to life. I just started a new TikTok page that teaches people how to start doing their nails at home!

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My family & boyfriend are the ones who deserve all the credit in the world. They have been my biggest supporters throughout this whole journey. My boyfriend Theodore has been encouraging and the most helpful person I could ever ask for. My parents Pedro & Graciela Rojas sacrificed so much for making sure that all my dreams could come true. They both motivate me to keep working hard and continue pushing. Si Dios quiere, it’s only up from here!
