Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Crawley.
Hi Kevin, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
The start of Crawley Photography evolved from the need for professional quality photographs of my local band Perceived. As soon as I got a camera in my hands I instantly fell in love with capturing portraits of all kinds. At first, I began honing my photography skills by capturing images of family and friends, that quickly grew to attending many local concerts and taking photographs for Dallas/Fort Worth-based artists. Since then, I have had the privilege of creating images for a few radio DJs, some spectacularly impressive martial art events, and even a few state representatives.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I started Crawley Photography near the beginning of 2020. I think many small businesses have been strongly affected by the struggles of the last few years. It has been a challenge to find new and inventive ways to promote my services to a broader network of people.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I think what sets me apart from many photographers is my pure passion and determination to create stunning images for my clients, I have gained the ability to adapted to any environment necessary and guarantee my clients will be proud to display the image I provide.
What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I have learned is, equipment WILL fail. You should always have a backup and be honest with your clients when issues arise. I think a well-prepared photographer always plans ahead for potential problems that could occur and has to make adjustments quickly so that the experience is as smooth as possible for the client.
