Hi Thedora, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hello, I’m Thedora Welch, the owner of Explore Her. I started my company back in 2020 when I was managing a local strip club and providing the dancers with exotic wear. One of my ladies suggested that I sell club wear so they can have cute outfits to go out and promote in. And this is when the magic began.
Shortly after I started my online boutique, a former Gramfam who owns a men’s boutique in the Killeen area offered me an opportunity to place my clothing in store. Since then, I am now in my second location in Austin at Normany & Weston boutique. My goal before the year is out is to find a location in the Dallas area to call home. I’ve been featured in numerous fashion shows in the Dallas area, as well as pop-up shops every month.
Explore Her by Dora provides fashion that will boost your confidence through the roof. With many different styles and sizes up to 2xl, you are guaranteed to find what you’re looking for. With a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a minor in Sex Therapy, I have an opportunity to work in my field of study with a twist of fashion.
Working in-store and meeting with many different women from different walks of life…. I get a chance to help uplift and encourage women to pick their heads up and help them feel beautiful again. As a woman, we sometimes lose ourselves in life, relationships, children, etc. Explore Her by Dora reminds us of what sexy is. From lingerie, exotic wear, casual wear, business, you name it Explore Her has it. Let’s explore your inner sexy!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No way, the road has definitely had some bumps and bruises along the way. But something that has helped me through it all is prayer. Trying to find good vendors was a struggle, different methods of marketing is still something I need help with but I’m learning.

I’m mostly proud of my growth and expansion of my brand. To say I just started 2 years ago, I have accomplished so much in such little time. I would have never imagined I would be here right now in two storefronts; I’m so blessed and honored and I can’t thank no one but God. Being a single mother of three boys, them seeing their mommy do this is my biggest flex.
