Meet Andrea Gomez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Gomez.

Hi Andrea, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was am a single parent of two. I worked for a period of time but, I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my kids in the care of other people.

I always worried and, just wanted to always be with them so I quit my job and I started in 2019 selling some dishes occasionally before I stopped to go back to work. I worked for a year until the pandemic hit, then I stayed home with my kids until 2021 came and I was just browsing seeing good that looked delicious!

Like hey! I could do that lol and that’s how it started literally one night to the next when it came to my desserts.
I had NEVER made cheesecake prior to this. When I tried it, I fell in love!

No, it wasn’t the best but it was a start. About a week later I reached out to a local small business LUCKYS TACOS he’s real big in the pleasant grove community!

Never spoke to him or his wife prior but, I reached out on Fb and offered a cup or each of my flavors I had. I started with 4 and now have over 25 and growing!

I remember dropping them off to him and him asking me to bring an extra batch and then ANOTHER 16. Which was a big thing for me I did not expect them to hit as fast as they did and everyone to actually loved them really made me happy and feel accomplished!

It literally started with one craving, one plan, one opportunity and it got to where it is now! I am growing in different aspects outside of my small business but, it’ll always be here to stay!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Life has not been smooth. A lot went on behind closed doors and the sold-out post, the pop-ups, and the deliveries lol but, I’m honestly grateful for it. It made me push harder and accomplish everything I have knowing it wasn’t easy but I did it.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I always aim to please! In anything I do.

It can be from food

From my creativity when it comes to my shirt designs

My sales outside of my small business

And anything I put my mind to.

It really is the customer’s opinion and I try to be as flexible with options to find something that works for everyone.

What do you think about luck?
It was neither good luck or bad luck it was God. Making a way for me

Taking me away from all my distractions

Put me in a position where I had NOTHING to my name but my kids and my family.

But he made away and he did this for me even if it probably wasn’t how I wanted it but it was what I needed!

Had he not done all the things that broke me. I’d still be lost, I’m found, I’m happy and I’m at peace

Anything God wants for me will be for me. He makes away

Neither good luck or bad luck, just exactly what I needed.
