Today we’d like to introduce you to FOE Jakk
Hi FOE, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always had the eye for real fashion but I didn’t start designing myself until I was a junior in high school so around 2016, and during this period of time, my family was homeless. When I started, I wanted to be one who created what I feel is a new wave of fashion; well at least the beginning of one.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, I can’t say it has. It’s been tons of ups & downs in the business. Plus, my personal life that can make you feel like giving up at times as in being homeless 2 years in high school, graduating regardless, police discrimination, losing close friends, and family on the way to this current point & others besides little to no support starting out in the business.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Honestly, I feel what sets me apart or makes me different is the fact; I never give up. Well known fact about me to the ones who already know me in the city of Dallas. It’s my persistence and consistency. In everything I do; being a Music Artist known as “Randy V”, Running a successful growing kennel business with American, French, and now English Bulldogs at “Kinfolk Kennels” aside from the “FOE” brand and all its departments. I’m also real hands-on 9 out of 10 I did it myself whether it be designing my album covers, or building like a joiner and everything in between that has to do with reverse engineering and then creating something in my own way. I’ve been called the Jack of all trades so many times in my life it stuck with me. it’s even become a nickname of mine; Jakk
Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
Well first id has to say yes there has been help in the past & I thank all of the blogs and podcasts but as of 2022, I’ve really mainly been working with myself on myself. Teaching myself how to fully utilize the apps I use to do business plus the ones I use in my everyday life so that being said I want to give a big shout-out to Distrokid, United Masters, Instagram, Apple, and Spotify & Google.
