Check Out Niya Simpson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Niya Simpson.

Hi Niya, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I have always loved writing, whether it was a poem or a short story, I would find myself letting it all out on paper. I have now transitioned into doing music and my stage name is Niamarie. I used to record songs in my room just for fun to see how I would sound, and with the support I received from family and friends, it turned into me becoming more serious about being an artist and getting my music heard.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Having the courage to put my art out there for the world to see. I would make songs and not let anyone hear them for a long time because I am my biggest critic.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a songwriter and a music artist; I sing and rap. I am known for being a hairstylist that specializes in natural hair care. I am most proud that I just released my first single “Weekend Shenanigans”, it is available on all streaming platforms. What I think sets me apart from others is that with all my endeavors I don’t box myself into one category. I pride myself on being versatile and open to all areas within my field.
