Today we’d like to introduce you to D’Lisha Johnson.
Hi D’Lisha, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started doing makeup right out of high school and I have forever been in love with it! I started with doing my friend’s makeup and from there I started doing makeup for Fashion week every chance I got and never looked back.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I would say in the beginning it was hard to find what my niche was in makeup. Everyone was doing the dramatic looks and I always loved a simple soft glam. For me, it was a challenge to find women who wanted the soft and subtle over the colorful and glitter Makeup.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in soft glam looks. I may do the dramatic looks on myself sometimes but it’s to keep my brushes busy! I am most proud of all my work I am especially proud of being part of multiple fashion weeks and seeing my work on the runway.
What sets me apart from others is that makeup isn’t a job for me it’s a passion! I love to make people feel good on the inside and outside.

I would say never give up! Always know that we all have to start somewhere and with patience and practice and prayer you can do what your heart desires
