Today we’d like to introduce you to Macie Wilson.
Hi Macie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I went to Texas Tech and studied fashion merchandising with a minor in business. I quickly realized that it wasn’t for me, and I wanted to work hands-on with people. Making others feel beautiful is what I’m passionate about so I decided to go to cosmetology school and earn it.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I am about 5 years into the wedding industry, and 2 into the hair stylist world. It hasn’t been easy juggling the two, but I find that it keeps me busy and every day is different.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I absolutely love the connection I am able to create with my clients. I am able to follow them alongside their life journey and be a part of such special days. I specialize in glam makeup, but also love a good natural glow. I am most proud of myself when I see smiles on their faces or get the best reactions. I do feel like I offer both hair and makeup services, so I’m able to stand out. However, I see the beauty industry as an opportunity to collaborate. I want to continue to learn from others experiences and help others as well.

Making others feel their best. I feel likes it’s my purpose in life.
