Hi Cash, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Started in college. Went to Prairie View AM University. Started out MCeeing clubs and college parties with friend DJ Merk. We started an Entertainment company named “NGenius Entertainment “. We connected with artist Dorrough Music and begin to blossom the music empire. Under the umbrella we branded Primetime Click, Dorrough “Ice Cream Paint Job” “Walk that Walk “, Supa “Halle Berry “, Yung Nation “Club Rock” “Shawty Wassup”, and a slew of other hits.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a rocky road. There has been a lot of sacrifices with time and relationships, family and friends. Have missed birthdays and life events being on the road. With the creative process, there is a lot of isolation and seclusion so you have to protect your mental health. You have survivors’ remorse for those who couldn’t come on the journey with me
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a recording artist and Entertainment professional so while I am promoting and executing my music, I’m always looking for new talent. I specialize in music and entertainment and want to make sure Texas is always portrayed in a positive light.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
DJ Hella Yella, Kornbread of Bean n Kornbread, DJ Mike n Ike, Lady Shida, John CLABORN, Johnathon Melton, Money Marv, Dorrough, Shomari Brown, E Johnson, B Dixx, Tampa Mystic all a part of the bigger picture and success of the creative process. Everyone’s opinion has weight and means something.
