Bella J Hair was started by Noelle and Terri Coleman. The two ladies have always enjoyed hair, fashion and all things beauty, so teaming up to create Bella J Hair was a natural progression. The ladies had a strong vision to provide high-quality hair at the lowest prices available. They both knew that there were plenty of hair stores that sold hair, but they wanted Bella J Hair to be the premier choice for high-quality 100% unprocessed virgin hair bundles. The ladies enjoy virgin hair extensions and know that the quality of the hair means everything to the overall style. The ladies also knew that “good” hair should not tangle, mat or shed. Their mission for Bella J Hair was clear.
Noelle has a long history of entrepreneurship and has founded two other businesses in the beauty field. She was the catalyst to starting o the business and shopped around for years for the highest quality hair for Bella J Hair. Noelle used her business savvy and university connections to build the Bella J Hair brand. She has prided herself on providing all of her customers with high-quality products that she can be proud of. The Bella J Hair legacy was born with the mission of serving customers and their mission continues on.
Terri Coleman joined the business as a partner in 2016 as an expert in marketing. Terri is an accomplished entrepreneur with over twenty years of experience in turning around struggling businesses. Terri has used her marketing expertise to grow the business from a small local store in Irving to a national online hair brand.
Noelle holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut. A master’s degree in Community and Economic Development from Penn State, and a second Master’s degree (MBA) from Baylor University. Terri is an esteemed alumni of Prairie View College.
Has it been a smooth road?
Bella J Hair is a business that has required blood, sweat, and tears and it has surely been a ride. I wouldn’t describe it as a smooth or rocky ride. Noelle has learned that over the years business ebbs and flows, and you must just be prepared for the ride and in it for the long haul.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Bella J Hair story. Tell us more about the business.
Bella J Hair is the premier store for virgin hair extensions, plain and simple. Most women love hair extensions and hair weaves for so many reasons. Hair extensions are convenient, beautiful and really enhance a woman’s style, but they can be very expensive. Additionally, all hair extensions are not equal.
Over the years, we, like most women, have spent hundreds, and in some cases, thousands of dollars on hair extensions, only to find they are low-quality. After years of buying hair extensions and throwing them in the garbage (literally) after one use, we embarked on a mission of change in the hair extension industry. Bella J Hair was created to solve this problem, we only want to provide the highest quality hair extensions at the absolute lowest price.
We have found the best hair in the world and we stand by our hair extensions. We are most proud of the quality of our hair and the number of repeat customers we have and that we spend very little money on marketing. Most of our business growth has been organic and due to word-of-mouth advertising. If you try our hair, it will last for up to a year and you will tell your friends. This is what sets us apart…

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Quality hair is going to be more important in the years coming. The beauty industry is booming and hair extension sales have quadrupled in the past decade. Bella J Hair ha positioned themselves as the leader in quality and we will continue to provide our customers with only high-quality hair at low prices. We are committed to our mission and we will not falter as other low-quality competitors enter the market.
The big trend in hair extensions is “360 frontals,” this a hair covering used to make custom wigs. The 360 frontal is a circular hair closure that provides the appearance of a natural hairline. In other words, a woman can have on a customized wig, but it looks exactly like their own hair. These wigs are very popular but require high-quality lace in the manufacturing. Bella J Hair has spent years finding the perfect place for our frontals to accompany the high-quality hair.
As hair extensions change, Bella J Hair will adjust, but only with high quality. We will not falter on our commitment for quality but we will keep up with our customer demands. We want to be the reliable source for all things hair extensions for our customers and as their tastes change, our high-quality hair products will too.
