Hi Hayden, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
My story starts from when I bought my first drone at sixteen. At that time, it was just a hobby taking nature pictures or just flying around. I would post my work on my Instagram page sporadically. I did not think it would be more than a hobby at the time. Eventually, as my pictures started getting better and better and I started seeing my followers and likes going up, that is when I started thinking I might be onto more than a hobby. I then began discussing my interest with one of my uncles who was building homes at the time. He contracted me to take professional pictures of homes that he was building. At this time, I was starting to get a little more serious about my work. I still at this time did not have an official name for my business. After working with my uncle for about two months, my grandmother tragically passed away. Around the time of her passing, I was starting to brainstorm a name for my business and that is when my uncle and I came up with a name Cardinal Aerial Photos. Growing up as a Christian, I have learned that when you see a cardinal bird it means that someone you lost is right there with you. I have been under the name Cardinal Aerial Photos for about 2 years in memory of my grandmother. As of today, business has been great. I am a one-man show but have been looking into hiring someone else. There is always room for expansion and my field of aerial photography is so vast and has treated me well.

No, it has not always been a smooth road. Just like any small business just getting started and getting your name out there is hard. Social media has had a big impact on my business in getting my name out there and as well as cold emailing has a been a. big hit as well.
