Hi Angel, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I am a licensed cosmetologist and instructor from Detroit, Michigan, specializing in short hair. I moved to McKinney last year in hopes of building a better life for my family. I’m so happy to servicing the ladies of North Dallas and surrounding areas.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all, being a single mother with no support system, it has been a challenge, but I never back down from a challenge.

I’m a hairstylist located in Frisco, Texas inside Phenix Salon Suites. I specialize in short hair; I’m known for my creativity with short hairstyles. I love short healthy hair. I am proud of my classy and trendy cut and color services. My motto is “Short Hair is the Best Hair.” That’s how I like my clients to feel when they leave my chair. My services include premium haircuts, relaxers, coloring services, and limited extension services.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
I feel that I can do better with networking. So far, Instagram has been my go-to for marketing. Hashtags have worked very well with getting my work out there and letting my Texas clients know where to find me.
