Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Kendra Larrington.
Hi Dr. Larrington, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I got introduced to prenatal and pediatric chiropractic while I was still in school and started gaining a bigger passion for it after a chiropractic trip to Haiti. I have seen a bigger need in care for our pregnant mommas to help them have an easier and more comfortable pregnancy. My husband and I have always wanted to open our own office together so after working in Houston for other docs there we finally took the plunge this year to help the community in the North Dallas region.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Some of the struggles we had with opening a new business was getting funding, and internet line into our building (which took 5 months), and just getting people to know we are here because we are new.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Vital Motion Chiropractic?
We are here to help build a healthier generation! We are a family-based practice that focuses on the prenatal, and pediatric populations. Our doctors have extensive training with over 400+ hrs. of post-doctorate education. Dr. Kendra specializes in pediatrics and prenatal with a sub-specialty in preconception and Dr. Larrington specializes in Functional Neurology with a sub-specialty in Childhood Developmental Disorders (ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, etc.). Our goal is to help the next generation be as healthy as possible by starting with the current generation and encouraging them to be as healthy as they can be.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is after school on Fridays all the neighborhood kids would get together on our street to break up into teams and play Capture the Flag. It was something I looked forward to and as soon as we would get off the bus and get home, I would find my bandanas (the flags) and wait outside with my brothers until everyone showed up to play. We would play running around and having fun until the street lights came on and had to go home.
