Meet Megan Stein of Orangetheory Fitness North Arlington

Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Stein.

Megan, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started as a member at Orangetheory 3 years ago. Before OTF, I had tried ever fitness class and program out there and nothing compared to OTF. After about a year and a half of workout on a daily basis at Orangetheory, I decided that I wanted to own one. I was in the corporate world and worked on the Franchisor side of things so I knew that I wanted to be on the other side and be a franchisee. After working with OTF corporate for many months I was finally offered the chance to purchase an existing OTF in Mesquite Texas.

I closed on my first OTF in Mesquite on Nov 14, 2016. In the meantime, I also became trained to be a Coach for the studio. As I’ve worked to learn the ins and outs of the business I’ve now been offered a 2nd location to build from scratch in North Arlington. I choose Champions Park at 130 and Collins because the area is growing and so many great businesses are coming to the area. These also seem to be very little fitness offering for the area so having an Orangetheory Fitness should be great for residents.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Things have not always been easy. I have been lucky to have inherited and found some amazing team members that have really helped to keep things going even when things are crazy. Building a new studio has also been an experience in learning how to schedule construction and work with General contracts and subs and the city to bring it all together.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Orangetheory Fitness North Arlington – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Orangetheory is a 1-hour, full body workout, focused on training Endurance, Strength and/or Power. We use Heart Rate Based Interval Training, which burns more calories post-workout than a traditional exercise. When wearing our Heart Rate monitors, your real-time results are displayed on large screens throughout the studio. Intensity is based on your individual Heart Rate zones, making the workout effective for all fitness levels. To top it off, our fitness coaches to lead the workout to prevent you from over or under training.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are excited to open this new location in North Arlington and are now accepting founding members a great presale rate before we open. We are excited to grow our OTF community in Arlington.
