Today we’d like to introduce you to Katrina Lokko.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I remember being 10 years old in my grandmother’s living watching a very popular noontime show. The children in the show did not look like me, and I wanted to know why. This was in 1978 in a small town in Tennessee. My grandmother explained the best she could to a 10-year-old, but it still didn’t make sense to me. It wasn’t until I was a teenager, that my love for television broadcasts and the arts would emerge. I would see storylines in my head and in just about everything that I did. I would write them down and then walk through them with my cousins and made them my cast and crew. I would help out with all of our school plays, yearbook, and newspaper.
In 2016 when in prayer one morning, I was reminded of the statement I made about owning my on-television network so that I could treat all people the same, and keep them safe.
Here at WOAW Media Consulting Firm LLC, which is the parent company of FMD Global TV, we believe that it is our God-given mandate to create safe places and spaces in media broadcast, and producing quality content that will cause people to transform their community. We are also here to break the narrative that has been told for decades, which it is hard to break into the industry without compromising your standards and morals. To the best of our ability, our desire is to give you a clear view of the world, by shifting the airways through voice and sound. We doing television in a whole new way and providing jobs for many artists, models, actors, and actresses. Making DFW an international hub for arts and entertainment.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In this industry there are many challenges, cost to run a network, getting business owners and others to get on board of something that has very little tangible parts at first. Finding the affordable platforms to do what you need done, and making sure all staff gets paid.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
There are so many who aided in our success, first and foremost, God gets all the glory. Our core teammates: Powahouse Studio’s owner Fred T. Who is also co-owner of T Star Academy, and master trainer. Lupita Fernandez owner of Meeting Millennials, Nguyen Le owner of Chaotic Films, Miguel Andrade owner of Just Films, Nick DeBoisblanc, JL Stevens, and all of our clients and students. I am sure there are many more, and without anyone’s part, we would not be where we are today.
