Hi Coralee, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Sigma Swimming is a 501(c)3 athletic organization that was founded in 2009. Originally formed to meet the needs of 40 swimmers, Sigma grew from 1 location (Sigma Fort Worth Central TWU) to 17 locations, with our 18th location being our first stand-alone aquatics facility (Sigma Fort Worth West).
Today, Sigma Swimming continues its tradition of delivering and incorporating the highest standard of aquatic programming for people of all ages to maximize their experience in water activities.
Our children and adults come from all over the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex to learn swimming from our experienced and exceptional coaches. Our unmatched curriculum has taught thousands of children and adults how to swim over the 12 years we’ve been in business. Our competitive swim team, Metroplex Aquatics, is recognized by USA Swimming’s Club Excellence Program as a Silver Medal Swim Team, making us the only nationally ranked organization in Fort Worth, Burleson, Cleburne, and Waco.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Covid threw us a curve ball with navigating social distancing and wearing masks/shields in the water. With all challenges along the way, we sit down and trouble shout the best way to serve our customers. The blessing that came out of Covid was our 2:1 class ratio which now is an element of swim school that we believe sets us apart from other programs.

We offer Tiny Swimmers >Youth Swim School > Adult Learn to Swim > Drowning Prevention Education
Small Class Sizes set us apart with a 2:1 ratio.
We recruit from our Youth Swim School to our USA Swim Team.
Yearly approximately 1000 children & adults receive a week of free drowning prevention in water lessons in partnership with the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Burleson Drowning Prevention Coalition, Cook Children’s, Safe Kids North Texas, and for the Adults a Grant through USA Swimming. Our small part Within this large multi-county/city program, 3500 kids also receive education & educational material to support the continued importance of water safety. Drownings are 100% preventable.
What do you think about luck?
We work daily to improve/adapt our program and our customer experience. We are far from perfect, but with each challenge, we work to improve our process. Adding training and opportunities for our staff to grow and strengthen our program.
