Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazzmen Tate.
Hi Jazzmen, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
My story started as a result of a layoff from my corporate nine-to-five job which led me to become an advertising consultant and comedian.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Just like with any new journey mine started rough because it was a faith walk but I was blessed and fortunate enough to network with people who helped me along the way.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a gospel comedian the scripture says in Proverbs 17:22 that laughter is good medicine so I see myself as a healer. My creative gift has allowed me to travel the world and connect with people from different walks of life. I’m proud of the fact that God has allowed me to share the gospel in my creative lane.
So maybe we end by discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters to me most is bringing unity to a divided world by sharing the love of Christ through laughter. Depression is a real thing and laughter is a key component that can help bring hope to the world. If you’re having a bad day a good laugh can turn your whole day around.
