Hi Lakeisha, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My husband and I were having trouble finding good quality child care. We noticed that some of our friends and family members were in need of better flexible child care as well. So, we decided that I would leave my job as a nurse and start providing child care out of our home. We took a risk when we started our business and it has paid off tremendously! Our child care business has been a blessing for our family and many other families in our community. In the past 8 years, we have been able to provide a loving safe place for the children and the parents here in our care. It’s also rewarding to be able to give and receive the love from so many wonderful children and parents. It’s definitely a home away from home for so many!
Overall, it has been a smooth journey! We found out early on that organization, structure, and communication with our parents are the key to things flowing well!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We provide child care 24 hours per day, 7 days per week! We have a very proactive teaching style. The environment here allows children to be themselves, take risks, learn from mistakes, and understand how to take responsibility for their actions and feelings.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love the city of Dallas! I was born and raised here so Dallas is home! I love the warm weather, the friendly people, and the diversity! I just wish Dallas had a beautiful beach and it would be perfect!

- $200 per week (18 months to 2yo)
