Rising Stars: Meet Lee Tabb

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lee Tabb.

Hi Lee, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Locally owned and operating in the Dallas area since 2000, Creative Shoe Repair Previously the Shoe Pro has been repairing and servicing for years. Last April I had the opportunity of purchasing the shop from my uncle. A year in, and business has been steady.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been smooth for the most part. A couple of struggles that I have endured was losing one of my workers to an illness. The pandemic also played a part in some of the struggles.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Since taking over the shop, I’ve added my artistic touch. I am a self-taught painter which has transitioned to shoes, we now customize and restore sneakers.

I am most proud of owning and operating the shop; we provide a comfortable environment for our customers. Quality work is what we strive for with every repair.

What sets us apart from everyone else is the ability to find creative solutions.

What are your plans for the future?
My future plan for the shop is to reach as many people as possible. Big changes I am looking forward to is marketing.

Pricing:

  • Custom sneakers $75
  • Half soles and heels $90
  • Full soles and heels $120
  • Replacing women heels $20
  • Cleaning of sneakers starts at $25
