Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Proby.
Hi Kevin, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
The company started in Denver with a gentleman by the name of Delano Monroe who met my best friend, Gary Geter, back in 2016. They began growing the company in three cities. Denver is Delano’s home and Gary was between two cities, Dallas and Atlanta. Sadly, Gary was tragically taken from us, then shortly thereafter, Delano had to step away to address some personal business. I took some time to grieve the loss of my best friend. I decided that picking the company back up in January of 2022 would help keep Gary’s name alive. I began to recreate the same buzz that kept the dream of being a brand for the cannabis community going as well as creating a lucrative, stable company.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has not been smooth. With the passing of the co-owner, Gary, the buzz that was surrounding Tree Hugger began to fade. The promotion and advertising of Tree Hugger slowed down and there was a short supply of merchandise due to covid. The biggest struggle has been letting everyone know that the Tree Hugger brand is back and working to get fully stocked for the upcoming fall and winter. We’re also working to build more solid connections with the community that supports that cannabis culture.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about Tree Hugger Clothing?
Tree hugger is a division of the Pariah Life brand, which stays true to its obvious ties to cannabis culture and merging that with the latest in underground fashion. The nation has quickly found itself not only growing in its creators’ hometowns of Denver, Dallas, and Atlanta but also budding on a global stage as well. Our passion is to sell products that we would want to wear and use ourselves. High-quality apparel that resonates with both the old and new generations of cannabis culture. From the baby boomers of yesterday to the Millennials of now, and onto the next era. “Creating A culture one can associate with and a Lifestyle one can be proud of” is our main Focus.
