Daily Inspiration: Meet Meghan Gamil

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meghan Gamil.  

Meghan, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Meghan Gamil. I was born in Baltimore, Maryland, but my family and I moved to Texas when I was in elementary school, so Texas feels like home! I have had an extensive career in the luxury fashion industry, including brands like Louis Vuttion and Goyard. Fashion has always been my main focus and something I am really passionate about, but while my career in fashion grew, I developed a love for real estate on the side. I have worked closely with interior designers creating luxury trunks as furniture pieces for homes and hosted private client events in some of the most extravagant real estate. Surrounding myself in that environment really made me wonder what it would be like to turn my interest in real estate into a career. I was so motivated to get my license and pursue this career, and I am so grateful that I did. I have met so many amazing people so far and have enjoyed learning new things every day.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I believe with every career, there are challenges, but you have to have the ability to overcome those challenges. When obstacles come up for me, I try to change the way I view them. I stop looking at them as negative and start seeing them as a learning opportunity. It gives me the ability to grow out of this box we subconsciously put ourselves in. I have always loved the quote, “There are no limits in life if you refuse to believe limits exist.” 

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I work in all areas of the DFW helping people buy, sell, lease, and invest in properties. I am very hands-on in everything that I do in life. I take great pride in how attentive I am to the clients I take on and have the drive to overcome many challenges. I love finding solutions for things that seem difficult to overcome. I grew up in Plano, TX, and have lived in several of the surrounding cities, so I am very knowledgeable about the area. I enjoy welcoming clients that are new to the metroplex and teaching them about the many diverse residences and neighborhoods we have to offer. I am constantly keeping up with new listings that hit the market and posting them on social media for people to see. I love having the ability to reach new clients that way! 

What sets me apart from others is my character and integrity. A key part of building long-lasting relationships is honesty and transparency. I want to be a trusted adviser to my clients in all transactions, harnessing extensive knowledge and experience. Purchasing a property whether it be a home or an investment, is such a core memory for people, and you as an agent are tied to that. You are not just selling them a property; you are creating life-long memories with people!
