Today we’d like to introduce you to Kehinde Oluwayemi.
Hi Kehinde, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
Hello, my name is Kehinde Samuel Oluwayemi I was born in a city/country called Surulere Lagos Nigeria, back in 2015 with the help of my father, my twin brother Taiwo Israel Oluwayemi and I moved to Dallas, Texas in the United State. We came from a poor family, I mean no one in our family is wealthy or close to riches. However, after we arrived in the United State, we started our college life at El Centro College in Dallas Downtown where we graduated in 2019. Also, while we were attending college as full-time students, we had to work 12-hour shifts at a factory company called Jeld-Wen Window & Doors from 6 pm- 6 am with little to no sleep due to classes starting at 9 am. We had to continue working because we needed money to survive as well as to support family back home so, we cannot give up. I have a lot to say about my early Journey in America, but I am not here for that. I only said this to let people know that nowhere is easy, but there are a few differences in opportunity compared to Nigeria, but you can become anything you want, but first, you have to change your mindset, dream big, and have the will and courage to work hard toward making sure those dreams come true.
Moreover, I had to change my mindset, although I have always dreamed big, and I know it will take a lot to accomplish those dreams and goals. I started to read a lot of self-development books and listened to one of my mentors, Grayvee; he is the person that inspired me to start my podcast, “It’s Possible Podcast,” which I started in April 2021. Also, I am one of the early Investors who knew of cryptocurrency in 2015; I am an investor in crypto, stock, and real estate. I am also a business coach, I blog, I create content on social media, and I am the Founder and CEO of a Janitorial Business ” Sam’s K Cleaning Service LLC” this business was established in February 2022, and my goal is to scale this company to be one of the biggest janitorial companies in the city of Dallas before going across the state of Texas. One of the reasons why I created this company is to be able to add value to people by providing exceptional services to people at a reasonable price. Although I have a lot of business ideas, I am working on building in the future but I have to start from somewhere to get there. To all the big or small dreams out there, believe in yourself; I know it is hard; trust me, I know because I have been there, it is so hard, but if you believe that you can do it then you can do it, and it doesn’t have to be a business, it can be anything. ”
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has never been a smooth road at all; couple of years ago, I lost thousands of dollars into stock and crypto investment. Also, in the early stage of my Janitorial Business, it was so hard because I have my Corporate Job, and I work in an Administrative Position which requires my time and I also have to put time toward building my business and getting clients, but one thing I know is that being an entrepreneur is not an easy thing and that is why it is not for everybody.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In 5-10 years, I believe Sam’s K Cleaning Service will be one of the biggest Janitorial Companies in the state with about 20+ employees and with more branches in various cities and state, making 9-figures yearly and creating more job opportunity for the economy. I believe we would be open to new waves and new trends because I believe in “unlearning to learn new things to grow.”
