Today we’d like to introduce you to Sherry Sutton.
Hi Sherry, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Namaste Didis! My name is Sherry Sutton, and I am your marketing mentor and business bestie!
I live in Frisco, TX (suburb of Dallas) but am originally from Connecticut… though I’ve lived in lots of places. I’m a mom to an 11-year-old son, a stepmom to 2 kids in their 20s, and a grandma. I’ve been practicing yoga for 20+ years, so I spend lots of time on my mat. I volunteer yearly in India/Nepal at schools for women/girls who are generally underserved in their communities… though that’s been on hold with COVID.
On the work front, I’m a business strategist helping female-owned small businesses grow with easy and authenticity without breaking the bank :). My business is a unique blend of one-on-one mentoring and done-for-you services through a collective of other female-owned businesses. We donate 5% of our revenues to organizations that empower female entrepreneurs who have gone through major personal transformations.
Before creating Didi, I was in the corporate world for 25 years, where I got an MBA, Masters in Communications, and most recently, a digital marketing degree from Yale (yes, I’m nerdy lol). I also had my own business for 6 years as an award-winning international photographer. I still do brand photography now and then!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I recently co-wrote a best-selling book on my journey in sobriety. My chapter is titled “Hello, my name is Sherry, and I’m a recovering A*hole.” Since getting sober 6 years ago, I have completely changed everything in my life – all for the better. It helped me realize that even smart, successful, amazing women can fall prey to addiction. My mission is to help women who have gone through these experiences to find a new lease on life through entrepreneurship. We donate 5% of our revenues to organizations that empower female entrepreneurs who have gone through major personal transformations.

A few words that describe me: creative, spunky, motivating, joyful, passionate, colorful.
My superpower is helping women see the inner fabulous that they cannot see themselves! I’m also a kick-ass businesswoman who has a knack for taking ideas and figuring out the best way to sell them for a profit.
