Hi Ciera, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
Inn 2017, I started my journey of cleaning my own credit. I had got denied for a home and the company that was supposed to perform a “Credit Sweep” took my money and I never heard from them again.
I started in the low 500’s and within 8 months I was in the 700’s. I was so excited. I was able to get me a brand-new car and I purchased my mother a car. That was one of my most proudest accomplishments.
Fast forward two years later, I lost job and my credit took a hit. I felt so devastated because I had worked so hard to get it where it was at. But I said to myself, “If you did it once, you can do it again.” (And I did) So that lead me back on my journey again, but this time was different.
I became intrigued with credit repair! Sounds crazy, right? But it’s true.
I found myself up all night, reading and watching videos to learn more about it.
I started telling family members and friends what I was doing and they asked could I help them too so I did. I then became a Board-Certified Credit Consultant in 2019 and on August 25, 2019, a Plus Credit was birthed.
Since then, my company has been
recognized during Small Business Month on the popular radio station here in Dallas (k104). I have also been a guest on two podcasts, and my company has eliminated over $500,000 consumer debt and counting.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, the road hasn’t always been smoothed. There is definitely trial and error during the journey of entrepreneurship.
I struggled with lack of support, self-doubt, fear, and procrastination. Shoot, I still have my moments here and there, as far as dealing with self-doubt and procrastination.
But, praying more, eliminating myself from unnecessary relationships, and staying focus really helps me with my struggles now.

A Plus Credit is known for Credit Repair. However, we do offer other services such as Tax Preparation and Business Services.

What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
I’ve learned so many lessons throughout my journey of entrepreneurship.
First things first, never take anything personal. Also having systems in place will save you money, time, and a headache. I also learned that all money isn’t good money, friends and family are not your target audience, stay consistent and believe in yourself.
