Today we’d like to introduce you to Cody Waller.
Cody, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My wife and I were brainstorming how to add additional income to help pay for our son’s daycare expenses. We spoke to our pastor and good friend, JT, and voiced our concerns. At the time, he had a pet waste company but was about to move with his family to a different part of Texas and obviously wasn’t able to take his customers with him. He was generous enough to help us take over his customers and develop our own company. Our initial goal was to reach 25 customers by the end of the year, and we were fortunate enough to blow that goal out of the water.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Ulta-Mutt has been an enormous blessing to our family. That being said, there have been struggles along the way. Between our full-time jobs, balancing home life and running a successful business can be a lot for anyone. Luckily, we have found some great employees that have become a part of our family.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We are a professional family-owned pet waste removal company excited to serve our community. Our mission is to put our customers first by leaving them with a clean and safe outdoor space, with more time to enjoy it.
We take the extra precautions of sanitizing our equipment after every yard and provide you with documentation that your yard is closed and/or locked back up.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory would be going with my brother and sisters to our aunt’s farm in East Texas every summer. We would build forts with our cousins, work with the animals, and would have Bible study every morning.
