Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m a Medical Engineer that has created a 5-time Award Winning seasonings company in Forney. I have been in business for 3 years, and I have been featured at the 92nd Academy Awards, LA Talk Radio, NY Fashion Week, and a Finalist in the 2021 HEB Quest for Texas Best competition. I will be on HEB shelves starting on Sept 21, 2022 in Plano and Frisco following shortly after with both having Grand openings as HEB makes a major move in the DFW area. We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Many struggles, pricing, logistics such as distribution, creating more flavors while working 9-5 with traveling involved. Making the products with my own hands and having to have 2 cortisone injections for my left thumb that locks up due to repetitive movements over time. Covid added to the stress with shipping, but my sells boosted on eCommerce due to the lock-ins, and many people started to cook more. I then found out how recession-proof my products were. Many nay-sayers along the way, including family and friends that don’t have the same vision as I have. One man even told me that he wouldn’t buy my seasonings because my face was on the bottle. This helped me in many ways. It created a chip on my shoulder to keep going and prove that I have a great product that the world will know about with my face still on the bottle. My face was in no my desire to be vain, just simply a form of “owning it,” so to speak. I wouldn’t put my face on something that isn’t 100% legitimate and proven. I have won the National Scovie Awards I’m 2021 and 2022, as well as The Hamlin Award Program in 2022. I’m currently working on 2 more flavors that I will launch at a later date, that will give me a total of 9 flavors. All using sea salt, Gluten Free, low sodium, and Keto friendly.

I’ve been a Medical Engineer working on many different platforms including Life Support, Endoscopy, Clinical, and Life Sciences for 24 years. I realized that I could create my own seasonings 8 years ago, and this is when my 1st creation, called BB’s Pure Heaven was born. Then came Pure Hell. Hence the names “Heaven and Hell.” Nonspicy and Spicy

Working hard and enduring hard times and trials to accomplish something with a desired outcome.
