Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Tugman.
Hi Kayla, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.

I’m Kayla! I am an aesthetician at Emerald Lux Spa in Southlake, TX. I specialize in Holistic-Medical Skincare, and also offer a variety of beauty services, including Permanent Make-Up.
My career in the beauty industry started right out of High School- I immediately began working in a spa in Colleyville to gain experience and build clientele. I used every new adventure as a stepping stone to my next opportunity in advancing my career. Attending every Aesthetics conference, Regional Seminars, & Webinars whenever I had free time. I work side-by-side with leading professionals in this industry and continue to invest in myself every day.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I would say Self Doubt was my biggest struggle. I remember being SO scared to do a brow wax right out of school. (Big LOL – now I shape, wax, & tint brows in my sleep)
Learning to make ‘the little voice in my head’ my #1 Supporter changed my perspective and gave me so much confidence to hone in on my skills.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in Holistic – Medical Skin revision. Which means focusing on treating the whole self – this approach is rooted in the science of the skin-body connection. The difference is in looking deeper than surface level to target the source of common skincare concerns.
I am also cross-trained in Permanent Make-Up (Microblading & Eyeliner) and many other beauty services including Lash lifting, Brow shaping, Body Waxing, & more.

I am so passionate about my career. I pride myself on providing the best for my clients to ensure they always leave feeling Excited, Loved-On, & Beautiful. It’s about more than just providing a beauty service. I really get to know my clients on a personal level and I genuinely love seeing them happy.
