Today we’d like to introduce you to Krunal Sheth.
Hi Krunal, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I began doing photography as a hobby back in 2015 with my friend’s camera (a Canon Rebel T3i), and I always felt the most creative whenever I had the chance to take photos. From there, I decided to buy my first camera, which was a Sony a6300, as I wanted to start creating videos as well. Years went on and I went from shooting individuals with customized cars to shooting exotics rental companies, and even the hat company TrueBrvnd when they first started their business up. From there I decided that I wanted to pursue this full-time and bought my first full-frame camera (Sony A7iii), along with my first drone (DJI Air 2s). Around this time was also when I decided my business name to be MoodSwingsMedia; I wanted to incorporate that I’m able to cater to different types of clients with different styles for each video, while also having a catchy name. Thanks to the experience that I’ve gathered along all this way, I was able to travel to California to participate in the Monterey Car Week with Motek EuroWerkz, which includes events such as ‘The Quail, A motorsports Gathering’, ‘Exotics on Broadway’, and even the exclusive Lamborghini Gala where I was able to meet a whole different clientele. Currently, I started working with a new company called Dynamic Media & Marketing, where we would offer our services of filming, editing, and marketing to the style of the client’s request.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I can definitely say it has not been a smooth road along the way, but that’s what usually keeps it interesting. I’ve learned that sometimes when the job gets hard and you become lost or burnt out, it’s a way of testing to see if you have the passion and motivation to keep moving forward. For me, some struggles being finding clientele during slow seasons and trying to market myself to my full potential. What I’ve learned from that though, is to keep working and use ‘Word of Mouth’ to market your business, as typically most of your clients who come in would be from a recommendation from a friend or acquaintance for a job that was done before. Another struggle was knowing my worth and how much I would charge a client for my time.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in Photography and Videography. During the past year, my clients have been requesting Instagram Reels and TikTok videos, commercials for their businesses, and even 3-4-minute-long YouTube videos of their cars. What sets me apart from others though is I try to bring a twist to current trends and adapt my own creative style behind each video, whether it’s a high-tempo upbeat song or an ominous r&b style.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up.
My favorite childhood memory would definitely have to be watching music videos and seeing the different types of artists tell their story. My friends and I would go around the neighborhood and try creating our own videos on our point-and-shoot cameras over the songs we would play over and over again for a month straight.
