Today we’d like to introduce you to Alejandro Limón.
Hi Alejandro, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Alejandro Limón and I have been in the event and wedding industry for 5 years. I am 34 years old, I studied communication at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and a master’s degree in Journalism at the Universidad Anáhuac.
I worked as head of communications for former First Lady Margarita Zavala during the government of President Felipe Calderón and later I was in charge of her image, communication, and events during her presidential campaign in 2018.
During that time, my brother asked me for help with his wedding and it was there that I realized that decorating was something that I really liked, as well as the wedding industry, which is why when I finished the campaign, I dedicated myself fully to the realization and event and wedding design.
For 5 years we have managed to position ourselves as one of the best wedding planners in the country, doing weddings all over Mexico and creating the perfect experience.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I believe that every entrepreneur encounters obstacles at the beginning, without a doubt, gaining the trust of the first client was the most difficult also opening doors in a very competitive industry.
Positioning my name as a brand was also a difficult challenge, which I also had to change a year ago when my partner decided to leave the business.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I feel very proud of the position I have achieved over these 5 years. I think what sets us apart is the style in our design and the way we present guests with unique experiences and concepts at each event.
I am very proud of the team that has been formed, of all those who work with me daily to create these unique designs, producers, designers, administrators, and several people who, with their support, have helped me make Alejandro Limón one of the best event companies in Mexico.
We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I think that what differentiates us from the competitors is the attention we give them, I particularly like to be at all my events, for me more than a business it is a passion and motivation that fills me with energy where my best reward is the complete satisfaction of the clients and see their faces when they enter the event.
