Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian Maxwell and Justin Maxwell.
Hi Christian and Justin, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Life is truly a journey. That is something that my husband and I have learned firsthand on our way to being full-time entrepreneurs.
Our journey to entrepreneurship took a winding path for sure. My background is in brand management, digital marketing, content, and email marketing. My husband’s background is in economics, third-party logistics, and supply chain management.
We both found our way to entrepreneurship 4 + years ago when we resigned from our full-time jobs to build our marketing agency. Initially, we served clients with outsourced marketing solutions spanning, email, influencer marketing, retail, and eCommerce strategy.
At the top of this year, we knew we wanted to pivot to refine our focus from our agency’s original focus. We wanted to refine our efforts while appealing to a wider audience and amplifying our impact.
That’s when we decided to sunset all of our outsourced marketing solutions in lieu of offering one simple solution. On-Demand content creation for eCommerce and retail brands. Our new service has been well received. We’ve welcomed prominent clients to our platform in the very first month of relaunching. Our goal was to make content more accessible, affordable, and truly on-demand for clients who are looking to scale their content marketing efforts and we are turning that goal into reality every day with each client served.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Our road to our current setup required us to soul search for months while really drilling down on how to drive value while building a brand we could love long-term. We had to be honest about what was and wasn’t working not only for our agency but for the industry.
That mindset allowed us to pivot into our new model which meets the needs of a diverse array of brands and products which will ultimately allow us to scale with greater ease.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are most known for our creative even prior to pivoting to our new model. Our visuals are what set us apart from other marketing agencies and what continues to set us apart as a content creation platform.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Be nimble and constantly stay abreast of what is happening in the economy. The economy directly impacts consumers and shifts their behaviors long-term. Even though we are B2B, consumers have to always be at the forefront of our product development and approach to the work we do!
