Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Ponce.
Hi Ashley, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Well, This whole idea started in 2017 while I was working at a Bank doing Customer Service, I was on the verge of getting let go for not meeting my goal for the month. I was tired of dealing with jobs, and always having that thought of being let go at any given time… being worried about being easily replaced. I’m sitting in my car on Lunch break & I had an epiphany I decided to call a school to get information about the Lash Program, so I get all the info and decide to go enroll right there and then…
So with that being said, I quit my job that day enrolled in school started a week later, and completed my 320 hours. Graduated in 2017 from International Beauty College in Garland. Found a small shop In Richardson Tx, I had 1 client, so with no real plan, and no real destination I was going with the flow at this point. I had no idea how to run a business, advertise, or anything. I began googling most of the questions I had about “BUSINESS” and how to get clientele.
So, I began getting ideas. I started doing free giveaways, contests, and referral programs. With me taking 3 hours on each set it was so hard to retain clients. Some days I just wanted to give up. So many sleepless nights trying to figure out what I was going to do. I didn’t want to fail. One day my post went viral In 2017 & got like 10 clients from that one viral video. It was crazy. I began to get busy. I was beginning to get noticed.
A year later I opened up a Storefront called “Goddess Eyelash Lounge” and learned so so so much from that…. We closed down 2 years later. Took an L from that, but like I said I learned so much from that whole experience. Started working Inside a salon in 2019-2020 Covid hit, had a tragic loss, we weren’t allowed to work during covid advised by TDLR. I was going through a dark time in my life, I ended up moving to Atlanta, thinking life would get better.
Cleared my mind a bit. 6 months later I moved back to Dallas. Began lashing from my house as most of my clients were excited to have me back. Needless to say, most of my clients remained loyal through it all. Came back & got back to work like nothing ever happened. Decided to find a salon so I could stop working from home. Found a salon. This is where I operate now Rich Girl Beauty Bar Located in Dallas TX. Where I also teach motivated ladies how to perform lash extensions, sell merchandise,& Lash supplies.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Oh no, it hasn’t always been this easy. With so many bumps in the road, dealing with anxiety & just life period I managed to still stay motivated & committed to my craft.

Well, here at Rich Girl Beauty Bar we offer Lash Extensions. I Specialize in Volume & Mega Volume lash sets. I’m known for my volume & mega sets, and my retention is amazing. What sets me apart from others is my amazing customer service, for always motivating whoever steps foot in my shop. Always looking out for everybody, wanting everyone to be successful. The bonds my clients & I create. I also offer noninvasive lip fillers and teeth whitening.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Doing regular acts of kindness. Hanging out with family. My dog makes me happy, Experiencing new and exciting things. Achieving personal goals.
