Today we’d like to introduce you to Arsalan Ali. 

Hi Arsalan, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Running a great restaurant is an art and is everyone’s dream. Starting a restaurant always comes with unanticipated issues and problems. Having a good plan to overcome such issues is my expertise. I, Arsalan Ali, 34 years old entrepreneur with business expertise in various business industries. I love being around people and enjoy chatting with people from all walks of life. I strongly believe that food brings friends and families together. Dallas is great city for foodies and always been my dream to serve the best food to meat lovers. I had a vision of bringing South Asian community something special and unique taste that Dallas was missing. After extensive studies and research, I was successfully able to introduce Dallas/Fort Worth South Asian community with Pakistani BBQ. There are many in town but what sets us apart from others is our upscale vibe yet casual, unique marination mix, long tried and unique recipes of our BBQ items, the location in the heart of Dallas, and lastly the best quality meat, which is Halal, grass-fed, non-GMO, certified natural and responsibly raised. 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s never a dull day in food industry. Surprises are always waiting at your doorstep. The few biggest struggles I faced at the initial starting point were ineffective management, shortage of skilled labor, high food costs, and retention of employees. 

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are located in heart of North Dallas area serving fresh and healthy food to our consumers. We are known for the quality of our meat we provide and unique taste that satisfies food lovers from all over the globe. Our core clientele is South Asian community who grew up eating similar type of cuisines. We have a very limited menu, and we specialize in each product item we serve. We focus only on the few items we specialize in and always serve fresh right off the grill. All our BBQ items are famous but Chicken Tikka, Bihari Kabab, and the Fried Bread tends to be most popular among our customers. 

What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Restaurants are very fast-paced environments. Regardless of which job you have, one must learn how to work under a stressful atmosphere. Few lessons I learned along my journey in food industry is that communication is everything in this industry. Prioritizing and patience is another big factor when running such a huge operation of serving 250-plus hungry diners. One must have thick skin to bear the pressure and be able to solve problems instantly by using experience and special skillsets.
