Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooklyn and Hudson Bowman. Their mom shares their story with us below.
Thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Our family lived in North Texas all our life and made the move to Chicago in 2017 and then San Diego in 2019 until August of 2022. Now we are residing in Prosper Texas. The move was due to my husband’s profession and now we have moved back to Texas because he is a land developer.
We have 2 kids, Brooklyn who just turned 16, and Hudson who is 14.
Brooklyn plays travel volleyball and Hudson plays football.
Throughout our moves, our kids have always flourished academically and athletically.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Moving is never an easy feat especially if you have kids that have fully emersed in sports, school, and socially husband told me I could be a stay-at-home mom to help our kids transition
Thanks for sharing that. What else should we know?
My kids are athletes.
In Chicago, Brooklyn was signed on by a major modeling agency, BMG. She did print work, TV, and traveled to walk in Miami and New York Fashion Shows. All the while maintaining a school life, soccer, and volleyball.
When we moved to San Diego, she played for the Top Volleybakk Club in the Nation on the Top Team. She played libero. She was named MVP several times and their team was 5th in the Nation. She also played beach volleyball and competed and qualified for Junior Olympics. Currently, she is playing for the top team and the best club in the nation, MadFrogs.
My son is in middle school and is the starting running back for his football team. In Chicago, he played football and when we moved to SD, he played rugby and won the State Title! He cannot wait to play for Prosper High school!
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Every coach, teachers, and friends we’ve met along the way played a big part in our kid’s flexibility and ability to adapt to their surroundings.
