Today we’d like to introduce you to Antia Jones.
Hi Antia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started Conceited Fashion (formally Iam Doll Glam) as part of my passion for Beauty. You got to feel good to look good right and what better way than fashion & aesthetics. When I was in High School, I was enrolled in Cosmetology and never finished my hours. I came close but with the amount of time enrolled in the program and graduation I wasn’t able to clock the projected hours required. Instead of finishing after graduation, I began college in the medical field but that also didn’t go as planned so I just stuck with working. My journey as an entrepreneur began when I got overwhelmed with the micromanagement of Corporate America. Today I always say that becoming a Business Owner was the BEST decision I ever made. Don’t get me wrong, it is a lot of work that I’m willing to put my all into and the support I receive in return is what keeps me going, growing, and motivation that I’ve made the right decision. In the words of Maya Angelou “Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it” and that quote alone is motivating and explains how I got to where I am today.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life itself have many obstacles. Balancing everyday life and being an entrepreneur is challenging. Whatever business you’re in failures will surely come your way. You will just need to persevere and learn from all the mistakes you’ll encounter and get better. You cannot be an entrepreneur and not have faith. Your goal has to be bigger than money. Never start a business whose motivation is money. Along the way you can go from making $2,000 on a random day to $20 in 3 days, people will cancel on you, creating hours of content just for people to scroll past, you will repeatedly repeat the same thing over and over to the same/different customers and etc. It’s a lot behind the entrepreneur life.

We are looking to expand services as we continue to grow. First-rate service is intended to be the focus of the Company and a cornerstone of the brand’s success. All customers will receive conscientious, one-on-one, timely service in all capacities, be through transactions, conflict, or complaints. This is expected to create a loyal brand following and return business.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out.
My advice to anyone wanting to pursue entrepreneurship, do not quit the business you have started for yourself. You have to put in work. Building loyal clients will take time. It typically takes 5 years to build a brand and once you get to that point you will see the fruits of your labor. Start a profitable business that is built around your passion, interest, and strengths. This is how you can survive the waves of life being an entrepreneur. Everything is fast changing, and perfecting things is not a wise thing to do. Customer service is everything. You got to be nice no matter the situation or when dealing with an irate customer.
