Today we’d like to introduce you to Antonio Rozier.
Hi Antonio, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have always fully supported the use of medical cannabis in this country and the countless ways it can help many ailments that plague all our communities. I have traveled all over the world and have experienced how other cultures approach health and wellness, and I have much respect for plant and wholistic medicine. The earth has given us the majority of our medications we use today, and we have only scratched the surface.
I am an Interventional Pain Doctor, and my practice is here in DFW. I take care of almost every problem that can cause a person pain. I have seen people take massive amounts of medications, seen patients become addicted to medications, and undergo procedures that only cause more problems. I have patients being treated with PTSD, Epilepsy, Cancer, Autism, and other ailments that just didn’t improve with prescribed medications. I was patiently waiting for the opportunity to prescribe medical cannabis to my patients here in Texas.
Like many people here in Texas, even as a physician, I had no idea that medical cannabis in Texas was legal. There were no ads in the news, online, or on paper that educated any of us. I had a chance encounter with one of the Texas dispensary reps that told me this even existed. To be honest, I didn’t even believe him at first. After much research, I found the laws under the Texas Compassionate Use Act. This allows qualified physicians to prescribe oral THC products for specific conditions.
As soon as I found this out, I was all in. I registered, and I began seeing patients in my Pain clinic. The issue was that it just became too much because I already have a busy medical practice. That’s when I decided to work with my business partner and open Ark Medical Cannabis Clinic, and now here we are.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Creating ARK Medical was a smooth process because as a team we were coming together for a common goal, in trying to create a business to help people. Growing the business and getting our name out has not been a smooth a process. Creating a company to allow people access to medical cannabinoids and legal THC comes with misinformation, stigmas, and biases that hinder people accepting our products and can block out messaging on most social media platforms. We are constantly trying to educate people on the great things that medicinal cannabis treat along with working in within parameters of the Texas Compassionate Use Act.
With marijuana still classified as an illegal substance in some states and other countries marketing on social media and most venues is very hard. Even though we do not sell the products if we market our services with conventional means, we are flagged and can lose our social media, google, or any other marketing that we try to provide. We are slowly changing the narrative around the uses of medicinal cannabis, but it will and has been a slow process, creating a lot of bumps in the road.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about Ark Medical Cannibus Clinic?
