Today we’d like to introduce you to Rita Dixon.
Hi Rita, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I believe that watching Law and Order really inspired me to become an attorney. It was something about how the show was a mix of real-life human dilemmas combined with the teamwork of the police and the DA to seek justice for victims that intrigued me. I wanted to help people, and I wanted to make a difference. I also wanted to have a career that would hopefully bring in some good money. Therefore, becoming an attorney was a perfect path for me. However, the journey from small-town girl to owning my own law firm in DFW was far less glamorous than what I imagined it would be, nonetheless, it has been one of the most rewarding decisions I have made. I am blessed to be able to be in position to benefit those going through life’s most stressful situations. As I get older, I understand better each day how important it is to trust those that are helping you when your most vulnerable. It is an honor to serve in this way.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The road has definitely not been smooth. Deep down, I knew that once I conquered the barriers to crossing the line and officially being declared a licensed attorney, I would be a good one. However, I had to retake the LSAT in order to boost my scores for law school acceptance. Once accepted I had to work through test-taking anxiety and after graduation and passing the bar, I had difficulty landing my first job. All of these were challenging for me, but I am reminded that without a test, there would not be a testimony.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

I also must give a shout-out to my family, especially my husband for all of his love and support through the years while building the business.
