Today we’d like to introduce you to Miracle Aaliyah.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Well first I’m originally from Atlanta; I started doing hair around my freshman year and I’ve always loved making people feel good about themselves & their appearance, At first, it was just a hobby but then I realized I have a strong passion for what I do so I went to cosmetology school to further my education, finished my courses/graduated into a Master Cosmetologist and I was blessed with the opportunity to move to a new state and expand my career!!!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There were definitely a few obstacles for me; COVID being the main one because I started cosmetology school during that time and there were also times where I would get discouraged or lose motivation. Also, taking the big step to move to another state and start fresh, but I overcame all of it and I’m happy about the progress I’ve made and that I never gave up along the way.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I started my own business in 2019 called “Looks By Miracle” and I specialize in natural/textured hair, braids/twists, locs, ponytails, & color services. A lot of people back home knew me as “Money Makin Miracle” because of how driven I am and I’m always taking clients/working. I’m very proud of what all I’ve been able to experience in the industry and the opportunities that have came my way from hair shows, doing mortuary work, photoshoots, etc.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
I don’t really believe in things happening because of luck; everything happens for a reason whether it’s good or bad. Me being able to move to another state and having the opportunity to share my story with you all has been the most rewarding experience so far
