Conversations with Kimberley Dietrich

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberley Dietrich.

Kimberley, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Artists Enclave of Denton County started in 2015 with an idea to bring artists together of all mediums including dance, theatre, visual, mixed media, etc. We are a non-profit who have had over 50 events including the nationally recognized “Eggisbition” which is a yearly event in March.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Our most recent struggles was Covid 19. We are trying to make a comeback from it. We had virtual events but made is no comparison to seeing art in person and being able to experience it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We are Supporters of Art – individuals, businesses, collectors, patrons, and other arts groups and societies.

We are Fine Artists, Makers, Designers, Photographers, Filmmakers, Performing Artists, Musicians, and Writers.

Since its inception, the Artists Enclave of Denton County has provided artists and their supporters with previously unavailable opportunities to “meet, exchange ideas, collaborate, and participate in the growing creative world.”

As a gathering of artists and a resource to the community, the AEDC practices and creates products to improve the quality of life in Denton County.

Artists Enclave believes diversity in our organization is a cause for celebration and the key to lasting growth and a positive impact on our community.

AEDC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, a recipient of the 2019 Community Arts Recognition Award, and holds membership in the Greater Denton Arts Council and the Denton Main Street Association.

Our Mission

AEDC’s mission is to promote Denton County as a nationally emerging Destination for the Arts by uniting artists and their invaluable supporters who sincerely believe that in so doing, the community and the quality of life is enhanced for all.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
We are looking forward to having art events for artists that bring all of us together supporting others in the arts to enhance our lives.
